IMA PAC
The Iowa Mortgage Association PAC is the political action committee of the IMA. Each of our individual commitments to the IMA PAC is what creates a successful group effort that helps elect politicians whose basic philosophies and beliefs are consistent with our own. The Iowa Mortgage Association looks for candidates who understand the mortgage industry and its importance to the local, state and national economy. Only as a group, can our individual contributions be significant enough to make a difference in the political process.
Examples of issues your Association has had impact on:
- Licensing and registration of mortgage professionals
- Comments to regulator on implementing licensing and professional development rules
- Legislation allowing regulator to participate in multi-state automated licensing system
- Prevented legislation creating lender liability for loans made to non-U.S. citizens
In many ways, a PAC is like a business—it is only as successful as the level of support it receives from the people whose interests it has been established to protect. And like a business, building and maintaining a successful PAC depends on individuals. This year’s IMA PAC goal is $10,000 – your personal investment will help us reach that goal and strengthen our political voice.
